At Wake Forest, I majored in Business and Enterprise Management with minors in Politics and International Affairs and Global Trade and Commerce Studies. Initially, my job search was broad, but over time, I honed in on consulting, which eventually led me to securing an internship with PwC in their Deals – Valuation group in New York City. The MRE’s resources, such as networking guides and consulting case prep materials, were extremely helpful throughout the process. As a BEM major, I had to dedicate extra time to mastering certain finance skills that were essential for my role. However, by leveraging resources like Wall Street Prep and reaching out to WFU alumni at PwC, I was able to excel in my internship and secure a full-time position with the firm. My advice to current students is to embrace the wide variety of courses available at Wake, be open to opportunities outside your comfort zone, and start the job search process early.
