Handshake is a significant resource in the job and internship search.

This WFU hub for career-related information allows you to review, apply for, and set up interviews for internships, some of which are only available to Wake Forest students. By completing your profile and career interests, you can receive targeted emails with job/internship opportunities tailored to your interests.

The “professional Facebook” of the working world: LinkedIn. Your LinkedIn presence is another key aspect in personal branding. Recruiters, future managers, and alumni may all search for you on the site. Furthermore, you can proactively research companies of interest, locate informational interview contacts, and showcase and build your personal brand in dynamic ways through LinkedIn. This free site opens the door to over 900 million professionals around the globe, representing 200 countries and territories worldwide.

The LinkedIn Profile Checklist is a helpful tool for reviewing the strength of your profile as you prepare to connect with WFU alumni and professionals in your field of interest and search for jobs and internships.

A cover letter is a one-page document that expresses your interest in the position you are applying to with an employer. Within the cover letter, you will address experience, qualifications, and additional resources of information not covered in your resume.
